He came back to law practice in 2007 and is a Commissioner for Oaths with effect  from 2018. He holds a Bachelor of Law (Honours) degree from the National University of Singapore.

At Nanyang Law, Joseph is a consultant in the firm. He primarily provides an advisory role for various matters, in relation to commercial litigation, company, conveyancing, probate and employment law.

Although Real Estate and Conveyancing has always been at the core of Jo’s practice when he previously founded Atkins Law Corporation in 2011, Jo managed to balance his areas of interest in litigation in the practice areas of criminal, commercial litigation, company, conveyancing, probate and employment law. Joseph is passionate in keeping up to date in the practice areas of Real Estate and Conveyancing which includes sale & purchase of residential, commercial and industrial properties. His advice also extends to Landlord and Tenant disputes. In the areas of Real Estate and Conveyancing, none of the transactions handled by Jo has been litigated as Jo is a very careful conveyancer who is very thorough with his due diligence.

Joseph was previously voted into the Council of the Law Society of Singapore (“LSS”) where he served for 2 years and in 2009, Jo represented LSS in China as a representative in the CHINA-ASEAN-Legal-Cooperation-Forum.
