In Nanyang Law, KK’s main areas of practice are data protection and IT law. This includes providing advice in relation to data loss prevention, personal data protection compliance, technology risk management and strategy, cybersecurity and compliance audits. KK also provides mergers and acquisitions risk advisory services.  

Prior to joining Nanyang Law, KK has worked for the Government of Singapore and multinationals in market research, technology law and information security consulting. Amongst the management posts he has held in information security and privacy include one as Chief Privacy Officer (Asia Pacific) for a global healthcare research and advisory company. 

KK is currently Chair of the Cybersecurity and Data Protection Practice Committee of The Law Society of Singapore. He is also a Consultant with the Institute of Systems Science (ISS) NUS and Adjunct Associate (Infocomm Technology Cluster) of the Singapore Institute of Technology.

He holds a Master of Laws (National University of Singapore), a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Psychology (University of Texas at Austin), a Bachelor of Laws (Monash University), and a Specialist Diploma in Audit & Systems Security from Temasek Polytechnic. He completed the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) examination and is an Accredited Mediator with Singapore Mediation Centre and The Law Society of Singapore Mediation Scheme.  KK is qualified as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
