At Nanyang Law, Rida’s main areas of practice are in Intellectual Property (Trademark); i.e. clearance searches, filing, prosecution and maintenance of trade marks.  Her work also includes drafting, reviewing of correspondences and documents, filing of renewals, applications, and monitoring of Intellectual Property files and deadline. She is also involved involved in the firm’s corporate and commercial practice


Prior to joining Nanyang Law, Rida was a foreign associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group of a Singapore law firm. Her role mainly included advising clients on various intellectual property issues, acting for clients in the enforcement of intellectual property rights, as well as managing the trademark portfolios of local and overseas clientele.


Rida had completed her pupillage in an Intellectual Property firm in Malaysia, which handles various intellectual property matters for many world famous trademarks and patents. During the stint, she had acted for clients in disputes relating to trademarks and patents before the High Court of Kuala Lumpur.

Rida holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Hull from the United Kingdom. She is also qualified as a Barrister-at-law, Lincoln’s Inn, London and as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaysia.
