Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice
Ismail’s litigation and dispute resolution experience spans over 10 years. He has represented various clients in matters ranging from simple contractual disputes to complex commercial disputes, family law (particularly Muslim Family Law (Syariah Law)), criminal law and consumer law.
He was also the first lawyer to commence an action in Court under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act [Cap. 52A] against a company distributing timeshare
products.

Commercial and Corporate Practice
Ismail also has extensive experience in commercial and corporate practice, having led a number of Joint Venture and Merger & Acquisition exercises across the region.
He has also assisted a number of foreign clients to set up operations in Singapore and regionally, guiding clients with the process from beginning to end.
He is also well-versed in Commercial Syariah Law in respect of commercial transactions.

- Acquisition of a Singapore based company by aconglomerate consisting of Malaysian and UAE parties;
- Purchase of a commercial warehouse and land in
Indonesia by a Singapore based company;
- Several appearances before the Singapore Court of Appeal.
