Commercial and Corporate Practice

Kim Tean’s main areas of practice are equity capital markets, funds and fund management and corporate restructuring. Kim Tean also has extensive experience in cross border work handling joint ventures, cross-border mergers and acquisitions. He is also familiar with Chinese, Indonesian and American laws.

Intellectual Property and Technology Practice

Kim Tean heads a team of IP professionals that covers all aspects of prosecution and management of IP portfolios, including patents, trade marks, registered designs, domain names, trade secrets and confidential information in Singapore and many other countries. With his strong background in the technological field, Kim Tean provides effective guidance in the field of technology licensing and research collaborations.

Recent Experience

  • Advising China Medstar Limited on Singapore law for its admission to trading on AIM market operated by the London Stock Exchange;
  • Advising Alphomega Research Group Pte Ltd on its admission to trading on OTC Captial, a market making trading platform for the securities of unlisted Singapore companies.
  • Appointed as Independent Director of Jade Technologies Holdings
