Patent Manager, India Desk

At Nanyang Law, Priya is responsible for legal technology and is involved in all aspects of intellectual property rights, which include patent drafting, replying to office action, written opinion, patent prosecution and other related services. 

Prior to working at Nanyang Law, Priya has extensive professional experience working as an Assistant Professor in Electronics and then moving into patent work performing patent drafting and prosecution in several law offices in India. She had also been involved with patentability searches and has experience working with databases like Derwent, Relecura, FPO, Google Patent, USPTO, Patent Lens and Espacenet. She brings advanced technical research and development experience as well as legal expertise to the firm and is skilled at strategically preparing and prosecuting patent applications.

 

With the combination of both her technical capabilities and interpersonal skills, Priya is also capable of identifying requirements of every team member and take initiatives to equip the team to perform better.

  • Master of Engineering (Anna University, India)
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Regional Engineering College, Trichy, India)
  • Registered Patent Agent
