Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Overview: Remembering Our Roots

Giving back to our community is a value that we hold close to our hearts here at Nanyang Law LLC. Businesses should also have charitable obligations towards society that go beyond profit maximization. We believe in giving back to those in need wherever and whenever we can.

Nanyang Law LLC supports Extra Ordinary People, a IPC registered charity, that enables and supports children and individuals with special needs, striving for an inclusive society.

Nanyang Law is honoured and proud to participate and attend the ExtraOrdinary People Limited Celebration.

Our CSR efforts can be summarized into four key thrusts:

  • Corporate Philanthropy
We aspire to extend our charity work and assistance through both financial and physical means to various charities and non-profit organisations
  • Responsible Business Processes
We aspire to reduce our carbon footprint to make our business more sustainable
  • Community Volunteering
We want to contribute our time and effort towards providing warmth to our charities and organisations
  • Company Supported Programmes
We continue to provide pro-bono services such as legal, corporate secretarial advice and other professional advice

Corporate Philanthrophy

Nanyang Law is committed to contributing CSR efforts in terms of both monetary contributions and resources towards the underprivileged and needy. We do so by weaving our CSR into our business processes and strategy. Empathy is an important value in our company, and we reflect this through the organisations that we have chosen to support. We focus on children with chronic health issues, differently abled and elderly.

Responsible Business Processes

Reducing our carbon footprint is important to us here at Nanyang Law. Businesses should be sustainable and reduce their impact on the environment.

Community Volunteering

In addition to donations and caring for the environment, Nanyang Law also believes in physically contributing to our charities. As such we will continue to organise daytrips to Old Folks homes and other beneficiaries to deliver a human touch and interaction. It is important that our employees learn the importance of human warmth, remembering their roots and to always give back to society.

Company Supported Programmes

Nanyang Law will also do its share of pro-bono work as part of our CSR efforts.

This list includes:

  • Advising on the compliance, corporate governance, legal requirements of charitable and non-profit organisations
  • Directorship: Mr Ng Kim Tean, our Chairman, also sits on the board and committees of various charitable and non-profit organisations
  • Providing corporate secretariat services to various charitable and non-profit organisations
  • Setting up of charitable organisations
